At Marlowe, A Diva Can Choose Her Friends AND Family
As any career woman knows, some nights, you and your pretty self are just plain pooped. Nothing sounds better than a high-class, home-cooked meal to celebrate Thursday being one day closer to tomorrow. But who’s going to cook? Certainly not you.
In a word, Marlowe, SoMa’s newest neighborhood bistro. For starters, parking is $5 at the nearby B of A (just make sure you call for the code) – quite the deal, what with the Giants Stadium blocks away. You’ll know you’re among friends when you see the irreverent food quotes on the front windows. After all, they were submitted and selected by city dwellers like yourself. Oh, San Francisco.
You’ll feel right at home with the décor. After all, you bring home the bacon. Daily specials are scrawled on butcher paper, and chalkboards feature hand-drawn animal art.
Nosh away your day with the kind of food Chef Puccio eats on her day off. Crispy brussel sprout chips are quite possibly the most addictive food known to restaurant Diva, and your love for a good deal means you’ll adore the eclectic international wine list. (20 by-the-glass selections range from $7-$12, bottles under $50). Hip hip syrah! 330 Townsend, 415/974-5599
There’s no place like home.
