Ditch the Paparazzi at FLY
It’s hard work being a Diva. All the smiling and the kiss-kissing and the “Why, thank you! Of course you can take my picture!” poses. Sometimes, you need to go to a place where you can kick off your stilettos, toss back a few cocktails and have some old-fashioned down-and-dirty bar fun. Enter Fly.
Fly serves bar food with a gourmet twist — Chicken & Goat Cheese Quesadillas, fresh green salads, a Shroom Pie Pizza (easy… it’s the portobello kind) — plus killer cocktails. In addition to their famous “Pink Ginger” (soju, lemonade, cranberry juice and ginger) they serve sweet and tart sake cocktails like the Sake Suckle (sake and pear juice) or, for the more daring, the Sake 5-0 (sake, pineapple juice and soy milk). Best of all, it’s a chill spot for undercover Diva action; no one will raise an eyebrow at a broken nail (or one too many rounds).
Happy hour — half-price pizzas plus $3 drafts, sake cocktails and sangria — is every weekday from 12:30-6:30pm (perfect for calling in a “mental health” day at work), and from 3:30-6:30pm on the weekends. But maybe the bargain pricing doesn’t matter. After all, since when do Divas buy their own drinks?
